
Well Being-Massage and Functional Fitness will kick off their new “Train Like A Mudder” program Saturday, March 14, in Carson City with classes beginning Monday.
The program, offered for six weeks or 12 weeks, is designed for those participating in the Tough Mudder event at Lake Tahoe, June 13-14, and features exercises that are designed to train for specific obstacles in the popular race. It is also open to individuals looking for a quality High Intensity Training workout and will help maximize the participants’ strength, endurance, agility and perseverance.
The kickoff event is Saturday, March 14, from 10am to noon at Fitness Defined, located at 195 E Winnie Lane in Carson City. Participants will receive a single week meal plan, a work-out sample, healthy snacks and will view a short Tough Mudder promotional video.
They will also be provided information on the program, which includes up to three sessions a week, nutrition guidelines, off day work out guides, as well as a 40 percent discount on 30 minute Sports Massages.
“Our program offers an opportunity for participants to train for specific obstacles in the Tough Mudder race,” said Brad Paula, owner of Well Being and personal trainer. “We have designed the workouts to help teams train together, as well as offer a great workout to those not quite ready to sign up for the event.
