A new four-story upscale business hotel is being proposed for South Carson City, the March 2017 Community Development Report from the Carson City Community Development Department shows.

Marriott Hotels has applied for a special use permit (SUP) to construct a new TownePlace Suites by Marriott lodging facility at 4040 South Curry Street, located at the corner of West Clearview Drive and kitty-cornered from Save Mart Supermarket and near Casino Fandango.

At its March 29 meeting, the Carson City Planning Commission will review the SUP application to build a hotel featuring 95 guest rooms and 121 parking spaces.
