
A 46-year-old Carson City man was arrested Friday at 6:51 p.m. near Menlo Court on suspicion of misdemeanor domestic battery.
The suspect states in the arrest report that he began arguing with his sister. He claims she began walking toward him aggressively while he was standing at the top of a staircase and he pushed her down, causing her to fall down two or three stairs.
At the bottom of the stairs, he said she began walking toward him aggressively again, so he began to hit her with an open hand and “push kicked” her to get her to stay away from him. He stated he was in the wrong to have become physical with her.
According to the victim’s statement, she confirmed as well that he had hit her several times, and that she was grabbing him and pushing him back in response.
The deputy observed a red mark on the victim’s upper chest and determined the male suspect to be the primary aggressor and took him into custody. Total bail: $3,137.

— A 70-year-old Carson City man was arrested Friday at 10:01 p.m. near the intersection of Fairview Drive and Lompa Lane on suspicion of misdemeanor driving under the influence, first offense, and driving too fast for the road conditions.
A CCSO deputy responded to the area on report of a traffic crash, the arrest report states.
The suspect had slurred speech, red, watery eyes and a strong odor of an alcoholic beaverge coming from his person.
The deputy claims he had a hard time retrieving the documents he requested. The suspect stated he had had “three cocktails” and provided a preliminary breath test resulting in 0.201 percent BAC. Total bail: $1,329.
— A 39-year-old Washoe Valley man was arrested Friday at 7:15 p.m. in the parking lot of the Market Street shopping center on suspicion of misdemeanor driving under the influence second offense, driving with a revoked driver’s license and violation of suspended sentence.
The reporting party informed dispatch of a potentially intoxicated driver and stated the subject almost fell while getting into his truck before heading toward a fast food restaurant.
A CCSO deputy reports observing the driver make an abrupt right turn off of Market Street without signaling. A traffic stop was then made.
The suspect had red, watery eyes, slurred speech and an odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from his person, the report states. He agreed to standard field sobriety tests, but was not able to complete them due to his right knee giving out, a CCSO deputy said. A preliminary breath test registered 0.242 percent BAC. Total bail: $4,259.
— A 23-year-old Carson City man was arrested Saturday at 12:15 a.m. in the 500 block of N. Carson Street for violation of alternative sentencing.
A Carson City Sheriff’s deputy responded to a local casino on reports of an intoxicated man passed out under a casino showroom car, the arrest report states.
Upon arrival, the man was observed sleeping entirely beneath a car inside the casino. The deputy states the suspect smelled strongly of alcohol, had unknown liquids spilled on his pants, and there appeared to be snot covering his left cheek, a CCSO deputy said.
After being pulled from underneath the car, the suspect sat up and began to respond to commands. He provided a preliminary breath test with a result of 0.250 percent BAC, the CCSO deputy said.
Alternative Sentencing advised they wanted him arrested for violation of suspended sentence, carrying a $3,000 cash only bail.
