The Carson City Sheriff’s Coroner’s Office has confirmed the identity of the man found Feb. 26 in the hills east of Carson City. The deceased has been identified as Steven Deselle, 49. The Carson City Coroner has determined the manner of death to be a suicide by gunshot.
Dirt bikers alerted the Carson City Sheriff’s Office that they had found a vehicle located about 3-5 miles east of Carson City in the Pine Nut Range with a deceased person inside of it.
Sheriff’s deputies responded and were escorted into the area where the vehicle was seen. Once officers arrived, the SUV style of vehicle was determined to be associated with Deselle, reported missing out of Carson City on December 7, 2015.
