Carson City Fire Department, sheriff’s deputies and Nevada Highway Patrol were called Sunday afternoon to a vehicle crash on South Carson Street at Old Clear Creek Road.
Reported at 2:17 p.m., callers to dispatch reported a commercial box truck had been swerving all over the road before reportedly crashing onto its side. The driver fled and was detained by passersby in the parking lot of a nearby casino. The driver is now in custody.
At least one other vehicle was involved. Injuries are unknown at this time. Southbound traffic has been shut down at Old Clear Creek. Motorists can expect delays.
