The Carson City Board of Supervisors is seeking applications from persons interested in serving on the Carson City Culture & Tourism Authority (“CTA”). This Board oversees all tourism matters within Carson City.

Meetings are held the second Monday of every month at 4:00 p.m. at the Community Center in the Sierra Room.

Applicants must be willing to commit approximately six to eight hours a month.
There is one position open to serve a 2-year term, for a person who can represent “the hotel motel industry.”

The Board of Supervisors will interview and appoint the qualified person to the Board. All members will serve without compensation. The City’s Boards, Committees, and Commissions Policy and Procedures and the application can be viewed online at

All applications submitted to this office will be considered public information.

Applications will be accepted until March 12 at 8:00 a.m. The Board of Supervisors
will interview and appoint a qualified person to the Board.

Interviews for this volunteer position are tentatively scheduled for a regularly scheduled Board of Supervisors meeting on Thursday, April 2, 2026.
