Get ready to fall in love with Blue, an 11-year-old German Shepherd-Husky mix with a heart as big as his dreams of mountain hikes.

Blue came into our care two weeks ago and is on the search for a forever home to provide him with the love and support he holds dear.

He’s an easygoing, indoor-loving pup who enjoys head-out-the-window car rides and friendly interactions with both humans and other medium-to-large dogs.

Blue could thrive in an active environment as he enjoys quality time in outdoor adventures. He’s been described as friendly with adults, babies, and dogs, though he’s not a big fan of cats. While he’s still working on his leash manners, Blue is ready to better his skills with his adopters and bring joy and loyalty to his new home.

Here’s What Blue has to say:

“Hey there! I’m Blue, your potential new best buddy! I’m part German Shepherd, part Husky, and all heart. I might be 11 years old, but I’ve got the spirit of a pup and can’t wait to tackle some mountain trails by your side! Hiking is my absolute favorite, but I also love car rides (windows down, of course) and lazy indoor days.

People say I can be a little excitable on the leash, but I’m just so stoked to explore the world! I’ve been friendly with other dogs and strangers, and I’ll admit, I’m a total sucker for head pats. But cats? They can just be a little too fun to chase and I’ve learned they don’t like playing like that very much.

If you’re ready for adventures, snuggles, and the kind of loyalty only a German Shepherd-Husky mix can give, I’m your guy!”

Blue is patiently waiting for his adoptive family at our Carson City campus and is eager to meet you. Come visit him today at 549 Airport Rd, Carson City. Could you be the one to give this adventurous and loving pup his forever home?
