The westbound lanes of Highway 50 near Bridal Veil Falls in El Dorado County, Calif., are down to one lane due to deterioration of the roadway west of Lake Tahoe, according to Caltrans and the California Highway Patrol.
Caltrans is monitoring the situation Tuesday morning and in the process of reducing the eastbound lanes to facilitate traffic. It reports that the shoulder of the westbound has collapsed and “another lane buckled,” according to Caltrans on its Twitter feed.
