Gardnerville, NV – On Thursday, February 13, 2025, at approximately 10:20 p.m., Douglas County Sheriff’s Office (DCSO) patrol units were dispatched to the 1200 block of Kingslane Court in Gardnerville for a report of shots being heard by neighbors. Upon arrival, deputies found Charles Edward Wilkinson, a 27-year-old male from Minden, dead from apparent gunshot wounds.
The investigation determined that there was probable cause to believe that Gary Allen Dillishaw, a 25-year-old male from Carson City, killed Wilkinson. Dillishaw fled the scene in a white 2009 Honda Acura with Nevada license plate 922V73. Dillishaw was considered armed and dangerous.
At approximately 6:15 a.m., on Friday, February 14, 2025, Mineral County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested Dillishaw after a short vehicle pursuit. Dillishaw will be booked into the Mineral County Jail in Hawthorne on the Douglas County murder charge.
