The gauge height of the Carson River is beginning to drop. We can expect to see high flows for a few days as the flood plain upstream begins to recede back into the river. We may get additional precipitation later in the week.

From the National Weather Service in Reno: A welcome, but brief break in storms this weekend into mid-next week, before the region will likely transition back into an active weather pattern. At this point total precipitation amounts and snow levels are uncertain, but antecedent conditions are conducive for additional flooding. Flood preparations should be completed as quickly as possible, before weather conditions deteriorate again.
