February is American Heart Month and Carson Tahoe Health kicked off the month by coming together for a group photo in support of heart health awareness. Employees proudly wore red in recognition of National Wear Red Day, standing in solidarity with those affected by heart disease and highlighting the importance of prevention and early detection.
This annual initiative serves as a reminder that small lifestyle changes and regular screenings can make a big impact in reducing the risk of heart disease, the leading cause of death for both men and women.
As part of Heart Month, Carson Tahoe Health is offering Heart Smart Screenings throughout February to help individuals assess their heart health and detect potential risks early.
Heart disease often develops silently, making proactive screenings a crucial step in prevention. The community is encouraged to take charge of their heart health by scheduling a screening and participating in upcoming heart health events.
