The Carson City School District is proud to recognize Paul Ingram with Common Ground Nevada, and Steve Thomsen with Ryder Homes as February’s Community Partners of the Month.

Common Ground Nevada was recognized as a Champion Level partner at Seeliger Elementary, and Ryder Homes was recognized as a Champion Level partner at Fremont Elementary.

As part of its Community Partner Program, the school district features a local business or organization each month for their commitment in helping schools and children have better opportunities and experiences in alignment with the district’s Strategic Plan goals.

Kari Pryor, Paul Ingram and Andrew Feuling.

Paul Ingram, executive pastor with Common Ground Nevada, is considered a Community Partner on the Champion Level at Seeliger Elementary because they support three or more Strategic Plan goals regularly, including updating and painting the employee restrooms to create a more welcoming environment (Goal 1); their adoption of numerous families in need through the school’s holiday Angel Tree program to increase parent and family engagement (Goal 3); their generous donation of backpack and shoes to ensure students start the year equipped for success (Goal 4) and their gifts of office supplies, delightful breakfast and coffee bars and heartwarming luncheons to celebrate and uplift school employees (Goal 1).

Steve Thomsen and Ryder Homes is considered a Community Partner on the Champion Level at Fremont Elementary because they support three or more Strategic Plan goals regularly, including for providing parent engagement flags (Goal 3); increasing retention of exceptional personnel by sponsoring employee appreciation incentives (Goal 1) and helping create a warm and inviting library environment by purchasing logoed decals for the walls (Goal 3).

The Community Partner Recognition System aims to build a stronger, more engaged community dedicated to the success and well-being of its students. Additionally, it acknowledges and celebrates the valuable contributions of our community partners as they align with the goals found in the Carson City School District Strategic Plan Empower Carson City 2027.

  • Goal 1: Exceptional Staff
  • Goal 2: Curriculum that Matters
  • Goal 3: Engaged Parents and Families
  • Goal 4: Healthy Generations of Carson Students
  • Goal 5: Community in Full Partnership

The school district looks forward to continuing these valuable partnerships and encourages other community members and businesses to consider how they can contribute to the success of students.
