Carson City area casinos saw a slight increase in December gaming revenue, while statewide gambling profits were up 3.31 percent for the month, the Nevada Gaming Control Board announced Friday.

Compared to figures from the previous December, Carson City casinos, which include those in Minden, Gardnerville and other areas of Douglas County except Lake Tahoe, saw an 0.87 percent increase in gaming “win” of $7,929,440 for the last month of 2015.

Elsewhere, casinos at south shore Lake Tahoe in Stateline saw a 12.56 percent increase for the month, while casinos in Sparks were up 7.61 percent and Reno slightly at 0.39 percent.

Nevada’s nonrestricted gaming licensees reported a total “gaming win” of $982,060,730 for the month of December 2015. This amounts to a 3.31 percent increase compared to December 2014, when licensees reported a gaming win of $950,594,006. For the fiscal year (July 1, 2015 through December 31, 2015), gaming win has increased 1.19 percent, according to the gaming control board.
