An 18 year-old Carson City man was arrested for misdemeanor first offense domestic battery Friday after allegedly striking a victim with a set of keys, a Carson City Sheriff’s deputy said.
According to the arrest report, law enforcement was dispatched to the 2700 block of South Carson Street for a report of domestic battery. The suspect, matching the description of a subject who had been banging on a residence door, was stopped by deputies from walking away from the scene.
He was detained while the reporting party (RP) was interviewed. Deputies learned that the suspect had become upset when the RP refused to transport him.
The suspect then reportedly ripped the keys out of the victim’s hands and struck her in the face with them. The victim was found to have an area of bruising and swelling, the report said.
Deputies handcuffed and transported the suspect to the Carson City Jail for booking at 1 p.m. Bail: $3,000.

— A 22 year-old Carson City man was arrested early Saturday morning at 12:31 a.m. at a business in the 300 block of North Carson Street on misdemeanor battery, a Carson City Sheriff’s deputy said.
According to the arrest report, law enforcement was responding to a reported fight at the address. Two victims at the scene stated they had been struck in the face by an intoxicated subject.
Injuries were observed on one of the victims, who sought to press charges. The suspect was located, detained and subsequently handcuffed. He was transported to the Carson City Jail for booking. Bail: $1,000.
— A 39 year-old Carson City man was arrested late Friday morning at 11:46 a.m. in the 400 block of South Stewart Street on an outstanding felony warrant for parole-and-probation violation, a Carson City Sheriff’s deputy said.
According to the report, Tobias James Stewart was taken into custody after law enforcement had been dispatched to the area on a domestic dispute call.
Deputies made contact with Stewart and a female subject, who reported they had been arguing. Their dispute had been verbal only, the report said.
A records check of Stewart revealed he was on active probation featuring a no-contact order with the female subject he had been arguing with.
He was subsequently detained and handcuffed for violating the terms of his probation. Stewart was transported to and booked into the Carson City Jail where he was placed on a probation hold. Bail: None.
— A 31 year-old transient woman was arrested early Saturday morning at 5:20 a.m. in the area of North Roop Street and Old Hot Springs Road on a misdemeanor failure to appear warrant, a Carson City Sheriff’s deputy said.
According to the report, a traffic stop was conducted on a vehicle driven by the suspect. A records check confirmed an active bench warrant issued out of the Carson City Justice Court.
She was then handcuffed and transported to the Carson City Jail for booking. Bail: $500.
