The 2017 Spelling Bee is underway and Carson City will be sending three young people to the State Bee that will be held in Las Vegas on March 18, 2017.
Our local Bee was held Thursday, Jan. 19 at Bethlehem Lutheran School. Representing Carson City will be 6th grader Hayden Steyn, from Bethlehem Lutheran School, 7th grader Kamalani Larson and 8th grader Madison McCraw from St. Teresa’s of Avila School.
The Spelling Bee is open to all schools who are willing to join. Three from the Carson City area participated. Carson Montessori, St. Teresa and Bethlehem Lutheran.
The State Bee will be held in Las Vegas on March 18, 2017 in Las Vegas at Bishop Gorman High School at 10:00 am.
