Comment on Website Updates Tonight by Joshua Johnston
I’ll take a look at those colors later on tonight, I should be able to come up with something a little bit clearer to read. It’s tough to know what’s going to work for most people, as nobody really ever seems to have the same contrast settings, so I’m definitely appreciative of the input.
Unfortunately, our videos wouldn’t necessarily fit the YouTube terms of service due to the advertising which keeps News Carson City up and running. And you’re correct in the assumption that migrating to another video delivery platform would require a workflow change. In this case, Dave’s been using the same editing software for nearly a decade, and has found it severely limited in the face of increasing web production – but the production it does is extremely fast, which is the most critical point of daily news.
The good news is that Dave’s been working on Final Cut Studio, so there may come a time in the not-too-distant future where we’ll have a lot more options in our back-end production. Final Cut has plenty of features to help speed production, but the learning curve resembles the view most of us have looking west.
