We are reporting two additional deaths due to COVID-19 in the Quad-County Region. The individuals were:

• A female Douglas County resident in her 70’s
• A female Carson City resident in her 60’s

We are also reporting 104 new cases and 15 additional recoveries of COVID-19 in the Quad-County Region. This brings the total number of cases to 5,453, with 3,019 recoveries and 56 deaths; 2,378 cases remain active.

Nevada Indian Commission Commissioner Lori Pasqua will be honored with a posthumous Bachelor of Arts degree by the University of Nevada-Reno at its winter commencement on Saturday. Her family will accept this honorary degree on her behalf.

Carson City Health and Human Services is reporting Thursday, Dec. 3, 2020 that there is an additional death due to COVID-19 in the Quad-County region. The individual was a Storey County resident.

The school districts of Nevada have long-faced critically thin budgets, but the impact of the pandemic has further increased those stresses. Locally, three school districts received extra funds today to help ease that stress, courtesy of Carson City Toyota.

Carson City Health and Human Services is reporting Tuesday, Dec. 1, that there are 11 additional deaths due to COVID-19 in the Quad-County region.

Carson City Health and Human Services is reporting Monday, Nov. 30, 2020 that there is an additional death due to COVID-19 in the Quad-County region. The individual was a Lyon County resident. We are also reporting 124 new cases and 3 additional recoveries of COVID-19 in the Quad-County Region. This brings the total number of cases to 4,893, with 2,413 recoveries and 34 deaths; 2,446 cases remain active.

A 29-year-old Carson City man was arrested Nov. 23 for suspicion of misdemeanor domestic battery, a sheriff's office booking report states.

Carson City Health and Human Services is reporting Sunday, Nov. 29, 2020 that there 113 new cases and 107 additional recoveries of COVID-19 in the Quad-County region. This brings the total number of cases to 4,769, with 2,410 recoveries and 33 deaths; 2,326 cases remain active.

CARSON CITY — The Nevada Department of Motor Vehicles wants to remind customers to try online services first and to avoid standing in line at offices early next week.

Carson City Health and Human Services reported Saturday, Nov. 28, 2020 that there are 342 new cases and 84 additional recoveries of COVID-19 in the Quad-County region. This brings the total number of cases to 4,656, with 2,303 recoveries and 33 deaths; 2,320 cases remain active.

CARSON CITY — The Silver State added back 3,600 jobs, or 0.3 percent since September 2020. When compared to October 2019, jobs are still down by 117,200, or -8.2 percent, for a current total of 1,305,300 jobs, according to a the Department of Employment, Training and Rehabilitation’s October 2020 economic report.

With a year that has seen such a dramatic increase in assistance requests, the amount of turkeys and financial donations The Salvation Army received greatly exceeded what the agency hoped to receive.

Carson City Health and Human Services is reporting Wednesday, Nov. 25, 2020 that there are 161 new cases and no additional recoveries of COVID-19 in the Quad-County region. This brings the total number of cases to 4,314, with 2,062 recoveries and 33 deaths; 2,062 cases remain active.

Laborers Union Local 169 donated $12,500 in grocery store gift cards to seven local nonprofits in northern Nevada to support the local community in this time of need.

Carson City Health and Human Services is reporting Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2020 that there has been a significant increase in positive cases over the last week. Since Nov. 16, 2020, CCHHS has received over 1,000 positive results for the Quad-County region. Due to the high volume of cases, not all positive cases have been contacted. CCHHS is working to investigate the cases and reduce the back log in positive results.

CASA of Carson City received an early holiday gift from Casey Neilon, an accounting firm with offices in Reno and Carson City, in the form of a sizeable donation.

CASA, or Court Appointed Special Advocates, provides quality court-appointed advocacy for abused and neglected children in child welfare cases, through a network of community volunteers who work with children to ensure their voices are heard during court proceedings.

Carson City Health and Human Services is reporting an additional death due to COVID-19 in the Quad-County region on Monday, Nov. 23, 2020. The individual was a Carson City resident. CCHHS is also reporting 35 new cases and 36 additional recoveries of COVID-19 in the Quad-County Region. This brings the total number of cases to 2,993, with 2,219 recoveries and 33 deaths; 741 cases remain active.

Carson City Health and Human Services is reporting Sunday, Nov. 22, 2020 that there are 38 new cases and 32 additional recoveries of COVID-19 in the Quad-County region. This brings the total number of cases to 2,958, with 2,183 recoveries and 32 deaths; 743 cases remain active.

CARSON CITY — Governor Steve Sisolak will hold a press conference today, Sunday, Nov. 22 at 4:30 p.m. to provide an update on Nevada’s COVID-19 response. The press conference will be conducted virtually, as the Governor continues to isolate due to his COVID-19 diagnosis.

Carson City Health and Human Services (CCHHS) is reporting three additional deaths due to COVID-19 in the Quad-County Region. Two of the individuals were Lyon County residents and one was a Carson City resident.
