Fernley Estates’ Amanda Daig Awarded 'Caregiver of the Year' by Nevada Caregivers Coalition

The Nevada Caregivers Coalition honored Daig for her outstanding care by selecting her as “Caregiver of the Year” at the 2018 Caregiver Recognition Luncheon last month at the Atlantis Hotel Casino in Reno.
One injured in shooting on I-580 freeway in Carson City

Carson City Sheriff's Office deputies are investigating a vehicle that was reportedly shot at late Tuesday night on the I-580 freeway near College Parkway, injuring a passenger inside.

Carson City emergency crews called to vehicle rollover on I-580 in Washoe Valley
Submitted by Jeff Munson on Tue, 01/01/2019 - 3:48pmCarson City Fire Department responded Tuesday afternoon to a single vehicle rollover in the northbound lane of I-580 in Washoe Valley.
The accident was reported at 2:37 p.m. near the Eastlake exit. Arriving crews on scene informed dispatch the driver was out of the vehicle. No serious injuries were reported.
Carson City Aquatic Facility to reopen to public Jan. 22

The facility was originally scheduled to open on Jan. 2, however due to delays and additional curing time needed for the pool plaster, that date needed to be postponed to Jan. 22.

After being arrested, he was later booked for statutory sexual seduction, a gross misdemeanor.
