My family and I were barbecuing in front of our house when we saw two bucks eating our bushes. We kept our distance of course, and they didn't seem nervous or disturbed by us being out there along side them. One appears to be a 12 or 13 point buck.

Carson City resident Jim Smolenski woke up this weekend to discover a new resident in his backyard, a baby fawn. He snapped the photo above and took video below of the baby deer, which was curiously walking around his yard Sunday morning.

I just thought I would share this with you: For awhile now, I've been seeing this mama and baby deer all around town and they are so precious. I caught them having a snack in front of the Bliss Mansion today so I had to capture a photo of them.

Reward offered in Carson City deer killings

In an update to an ongoing investigation, the Operation Game Thief Citizens’ Board has offered a $4,000 reward to generate tips to solve a criminal case of eight deer shot in Voltaire Canyon near Carson City.

The Nevada Department of Wildlife (NDOW) released information on the case on Feb. 15 hoping to generate tips and solve the case.

The Citizens’ Board is a volunteer organization that manages donations to the OGT program and offers rewards to solve poaching cases.
