The first USDA Business and Industry CARES Act loan, intended to protect America’s small farms and businesses amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, went to an aquaculture farm in Iowa and was brokered by Carson City-based Greater Commercial Lending (GCL). These CARES Act loans provide working capital to help rural businesses prevent, prepare for or respond to the effects of the coronavirus pandemic.

Two people shot dead at Virginia City Gun Works, suspected shooter commits suicide

UPDATE: The names of the father and son victims and suspected gunman from the shooting at the Virginia City Gun Works on Monday have been released. The victims are Gary Lord, 71, and son TJ Lord, 39, who owned the business. The suspect, Joep Mols, 56, died of an apparent suicide in Reno.

The Storey County Sheriff's Office is investigating a double homicide that happened Monday at a Virginia City gun business, in which the alleged shooter committed suicide.
