Douglas authorities seek help from public, Center for Missing Children in finding runaway teen
An investigation continues into the whereabouts of teenage girl missing since October and reported as a runaway from Rite of Passage in Douglas County.
Investigators believe that Treasa Ramirez, 17, may be in the Reno/Sparks area. The Center for Missing and Exploited Children has been contacted concerning this case, said Sgt. Pat Brooks of the Douglas County Sheriff's Office.
She was last seen in her bedroom at the facility on Sunday, Oct. 6, and was said to have left on foot in an unknown direction. In the vicinity of the ROP house, a bag of clothing was found.
Ramirez is 5 feet six inches tall, 130 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair. Ramirez is from the Winnemucca area. At the time she was reported a runaway it was believed she may have considered returning to her hometown.
