When it comes to golf, there's nothing like the gift of 18-holes and a challenge for any stocking to stuff.
With this said, Santa has ditched his sleigh for a golf cart, checked his list thrice and has the perfect gift solution for the passionate Northern Nevada golfer.
Try giving your golfer Tickets to Paradise this holiday season. For $265 golfers can enjoy a round at nine different courses throughout the year. The cost amounts to less than $30 a round.
The Divine Nine, a co-op of courses in the Carson City and Carson Valley area, is offering its 2011 “Ticket to Paradise” at a savings of almost 50 percent compared to retail prices. Only 300 Tickets to Paradise are available for quick, convenient shopping online at www.DivineNine.com.
The Ticket includes 18 holes of golf, a cart and range balls at each of the Divine 9 courses: Carson Valley, Dayton Valley, Eagle Valley East, Eagle Valley West, Empire Ranch, Genoa Lakes; Lakes and Resort Courses, Silver Oak and Sunridge.
The Divine 9 member courses offer a variety of challenging layouts at a great value. Noted designers, architects and professional golfers are affiliated with the courses including Arnold Palmer, Johnny Miller, John Harbottle III and Peter Jacobsen. There are 171 holes to play and more than 70,000 yards of high desert, open valley golf with meandering rivers and creeks, sage-brush lined fairways and elevation changes along with the spectacular natural beauty of the area.
The Ticket is transferable, making it a flexible gift idea valid throughout 2011. Play any time from noon on Sunday through Thursday, excluding holidays, with scheduled tee times available up to 72 hours in advance.
Divine 9’s lodging partners include Carson Valley Inn, Best Western Carson Station, Hampton Inn & Suites, The Plaza Hotel, Hardman House, Gold Dust West, Carson Nugget, Holiday Inn Express, Carson City and Minden and Courtyard by Marriott – and all feature golf packages for individuals and groups.
Tickets are also available at the Carson City Convention and Visitors Bureau in Carson City, Nev., via phone (775) 687-7410 or (800) NEVADA-1; at the Carson Valley Chamber of Commerce and Visitors Authority in Gardnerville, Nev., or call (800) 727-7677.
