Obituary: Robert Michael Kneeland
Robert Michael Kneeland passed away Oct. 21, 2013 in Carson City, Nev. Robby was born June 24, 1975 in Hayward, Calif., to Michael and Darlene Kneeland. A Celebration of Life will be held at 4 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 12 at Jimmy G’s Cigar Bar, 301 N. Carson St., in Carson City.
The first and only red-headed grandchild in the Lynch family, Robby lived in the Bay Area for his first 10 years, when the family moved to Manteca in 1985 and then to Ripon in 1989, where he attended Ripon High School all four years. He moved to Nevada shortly after graduating, living primarily in Las Vegas and Carson City.
Robby had a zest for life, he was in marketing and sales and ran his own business, National Travel Associates in Nevada and branching out into Egypt. Robby enjoyed sports, especially his Chicago Bears and Los Angeles Lakers. Robby also enjoyed hanging out with his brother/best friend Marc and band R.O.O.T. Robby loved kids and was like a magnet when they were around never too busy to play.
Robby is survived by his mother, Darlene Morin (Lee) of Ripon, his father Mike Kneeland (Diane) of Carson City, his brothers Marc Kneeland and Kyle Kneeland of Carson City, his grandfather Robert Kneeland of Walnut Creek, his cherished, beautiful daughters Ciara Kneeland of Michigan and Madison Kneeland of Nevada and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Preceding Robby in death were his grandparents John, Marilyn and Evelyn Lynch and Betty Kneeland.
Robby was loved by many as is apparent in reading messages on his Facebook page. As his father said: “Reading through the posts made me smile, he was loved by many and loved many in return. He was a large red flame, that burnt bright enough to brighten every person he knew. His flame burnt out much too soon.” We all will miss him dearly.
