Carson City’s local video production company, We Shoot Video is proud to announce not only the 4th annual LIVE webcast of the Nevada Day Parade, but also their first LIVE webcast of the Governor’s Banquet at the Grand Sierra Hotel. Owner Keith Barnett says “I just love the Nevada Day Celebrations, no other state does it like this. It’s totally unique!”. Business Partner and wife, Chrissi Barnett mans the chat box during the events and chats with all the distant friends and family of the participants. “We want to share this with the world!” Says Barnett. “If you can’t come to the parade, it’s the next best thing. Last year we had folks from all over including Hawaii and Nebraska watching!”
The Governor’s Banquet will have “The past, present and future roles of Nevada’s military and their families are being honored” as part of the second annual Nevada Day Governor’s Banquet. Governor Brian Sandoval hosts the event, along with the Nevada Day Board of Directors, to celebrate the anniversary of our statehood and honor the men and women who are serving, who have served, and who have lost their lives protecting our freedoms and preserving the American way of life.
The evening features door prizes, a silent auction, live entertainment, photo area, special guest speakers, Nevada birthday cake-cutting ceremony, and a global connection via Skype with troops stationed overseas. You can watch all of the activities LIVE as it happens.
Nevada Day is a grand celebration commemorating our admission to statehood in 1864. Nevadan’s have the distinction of holding the largest statehood celebration in the nation! The highlight of our celebration is the Nevada Day Parade, which is held on the last Saturday of October. In addition to the parade, Nevada Day special events take place all weekend.
The parade features floats, marching bands, and a variety of entertainment. The parade route begins at the intersection of William and Carson streets and ends at the intersection of Stewart and Carson streets.
Watch the Banquet beginning about 6pm on October 25th, 2012. The Parade Webcast will begin about 10am on Saturday the 27th and both can be seen on the NevadaDay.com and the WeShootVideo.com websites. You can chat with the video crew for both events. For more information about We Shoot Video or the Webcast, contact Keith Barnett (775) 297-4125.
