Juvenile taken by Care Flight following pedestrian accident at Fairview and Gordon
UPDATE: A teenage boy was flown by Care Flight Monday morning to Renown Medical Center after being hit by a vehicle at Fairview and Gordon in Carson City, according to the Nevada Highway Patrol and the Carson City Sheriff's Office.
The accident was reported at 6:43 a.m. The condition of the boy, who is approximately 14 to 16 years of age, is unknown at this time, said Nevada Highway Patrol Sgt. Scott Farmer. The parents were contacted, and the driver of the vehicle met with NHP troopers after arriving at the Carson CIty Sheriff's Office.
Traffic in the area was re-routed around the accident scene. According to dispatch, the boy was conscious when Carson City Fire Department ambulances treated him at the scene.
