Carson City road report for Oct. 15-21

Here is the Carson City area road report for the week of October 15-21: Beginning Monday, Oct. 15, Roop Street will be closed between Northridge Drive and Winnie Lane due to the construction of bicycle and pedestrian improvements. Detours will be signed. On Thursday, Oct. 18, Roop Street will also be closed between Northridge Drive and Hot Springs Road. Business access will be signed.

The Nevada Department of Transportation will be paving their maintenance yard located on Fairview Drive just east of the Carson City Freeway interchange. There may be minimal delays to westbound traffic on Fairview Drive.

Traffic control will be in effect on the following dates and locations due to utility work. No lane closures are expected.
— Monday, October 15 through Wednesday, October 17: Fifth Street east of Stewart Street.
— Monday, October 15 through Thursday, October 18: Valley Street between King Street and Musser Street.
— Friday, October 19 through Wednesday, October 24: Arrowhead Drive north of U.S. Highway 50.

There will be work at the intersection of Airport Road and Douglas Drive to install a crosswalk. Traffic control will be in place.

There will be nightly lane closures on US 395 from the junction of US 50W (Spooner) to 1st Street in Minden, Sunday through Thursday, between 7:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. There will be flagger controlled traffic.

There will be work at the following locations as a result of the Freeway Landscaping Project. Traffic control may be in effect.
— North Carson Street, in the vicinity of the freeway overpass. Possible lane closures on the southbound off ramp.
— US Highway 50 in the vicinity of the Freeway. Possible lane closures at the Highway 50 Interchange.
— College Parkway in the vicinity of the Freeway. Possible lane closures at the College Parkway Interchange.
— Shoulder work on Arrowhead Drive, Northgate Lane, Emerson Drive and Northridge Drive in the vicinity of the freeway.
