Hot wings dished up spicy this weekend in Carson City
Whether they come hot, mild or fire, there's plenty of heat to be found this early fall weekend in Carson City. The Ultimate Wing Wars, a chicken wing cook-off event at the Best Western Carson Station Hotel Casino in Carson City, continues through Sunday.
This second annual event was organized by W.R. “Willie” Davison the self-proclaimed “Chicken Wing King.” The festival features the region’s best bars, restaurants and catering groups who are dishing up their sauced-up wings to the public and are fighting for bragging rights as to who has the best wings.
Attendees, armed with napkins and a hearty appetite, will help choose the winner of this war, based on the tastiest sauce and most tender wings. At stake is the ultimate prize: winning the Ultimate Wing Wars.
Carson Station’s Ultimate Wing Wars also has dozens of vendors on hand for early holiday shopping, plus there's lots of activities for children.
Admission is free to The Ultimate Wing Wars at Carson Station. Wing sampler plates start at $3. Pints of beer for only $4 and $3 with a Carson Station Capital Rewards Card.
The event runs from until 8 p.m. tonight and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
