Accident ties up traffic at William and Saliman; streets busy today with motorcycles, BrewFest
Carson City Fire Department and rescue personnel were called to a three-vehicle accident this afternoon at the intersection of Saliman and William streets.
The accident was reported at 12:09 p.m., in the westbound lane, tying up traffic along William Street. Minor injuries were reported. Carson City Sheriff's Office deputies are diverting traffic.
As a reminder, Carson City roads will be busy today with the Never Forget 9/11 Memorial Motorcycle Parade. The police escorted procession begins at around noon from the Carson City Harley Davidson with riders on Goni Road, East College Parkway; College Parkway, Fairview to Carson Street, returning on West College Parkway then to Research Way back to Carson City Harley Davidson.
Carson Street will be closed between Musser Street and Telegraph Street from 4 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. for Capital BrewFest and Waiters Race. Detours will be signed and traffic control will be in place.
