Carson City sheriff’s arrest log for Thursday
A 25-year-old Carson City man was arrested Thursday, 8:36 a.m. in the 200 block of Hackamore Way on a misdemeanor charge of obstructing an officer.
According to the arrest report, officers were dispatched to the area in reference to a possible structure fire. Officers were advised there had been suspicious activity in the home and that subjects with warrants for their arrests had been hiding inside.
Upon entering the residence, several deputies conducted a protective sweep for the fire department which would not enter the residence until it was secured.
Upon going to a bedroom door an officer saw that it was locked with a small padlock. The officer knocked and identified himself. Another officer went around back and looked inside an open window and saw a pit bull and the man hiding. He was ordered to come out. The man was arrested for a warrant out of Washoe County. Bail: $412.
— A 26-year-old Carson City woman was booked into jail on Wednesday, 10 a.m. on a misdemeanor contempt of court warrant for failure to appear. The warrant was issued August 24, 2014 out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $3,000.
— A 43-year-old Carson City man was booked into jail Wednesday, 1 p.m. on a misdemeanor charge of contempt of court. The warrant was issued Sept. 8, 2014 out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $953.
— A 22-year-old Carson City woman was booked into jail Thursday, 9 a.m. on a misdemeanor failure to appear traffic warrant issued July 30, 2014 out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $215.
— A 43-year-old Carson City man, who was intoxicated and brought into jail for civil protective custody, faces a gross misdemeanor charge of being in possession of prescription drugs without a prescription. According to the arrest report, the man was brought to the sheriff’s office for safety until he could sober up. During booking an inventory was done on his property. Officers found a pill bottle with 7 Clonazepams inside. He did not have a prescription for the drugs. Bail: $2,500.
Those arrested and facing charges are innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
