"Le Grand Cirque" is acrobatics unlimited at the Eldorado in Reno

If you're looking for a family type night of entertainment, you could head for the Eldorado in Reno, where acrobats are flying through the air with if not the greatest of ease, then certainly with skills that border on the awesome. “Le Grand Cirque” is populated with a cast of --- don't know, seems like hundreds but is probably about 20 --- artists who make flying through the air, lifting one another with a single hand, and swooping about on nothing more than twisted tablecloths.

The show opened last week and runs through Nov 17, so there's no need to rush. But if you like to see human bodies trained to an inch of perfection, catch this show. No, I don't mean those muscle freaks like Arnie used to be --- these performers are sleek and in the case of the women, lovely. Some are Asian, some probably from England, but all put on a 90-minute display of what careful training and much practice can do.

“Le Grand Cirque” matches the finest acrobatic talent in the world with award-winning choreography and savvy theatrics . The two-man displays of grace in motion show the skills gained by long practice. And the woman who balances five candlesticks in an amazing display of dexterity will make you approach your candlesticks with care.And the bicycle rider who circles the stage picking up six riders without a pause gives mountain bikers pause, something to envy.
