Nevada gaming revenue flat in July, Carson City and South Tahoe down
Statewide nonrestricted gaming licensees reported a total “gaming win” of $931,819,621 for the month, or a .65 percent increase over July 2013 figures.
Carson City gaming revenue fell 3.53 percent, taking in $8,137,396 for the month. In July 2013 the revenue was $8,435,440. The reporting area includes casinos in Gardnerville, Minden and other areas in Douglas County except Lake Tahoe.
Gaming revenue at South Shore Lake Tahoe casinos fell 22.53 percent in July, though the figures were expected to be down given the April closing of Horizon Resort Casino. The casino will reopen late this year or early next year as the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Lake Tahoe.
Gaming revenue at North Lake Tahoe casinos saw a 5.38 percent increase in July.
