Carson City Sheriff's Office arrest log
The following are recent felony and misdemeanor related arrests made by the Carson City Sheriff’s Office. Those arrested and facing criminal charges are innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
— A 42-year-old Dayton man was booked into Carson City jail Monday on a felony warrant for attempted home invasion. David Ryan Alexander turned himself on the outstanding warrant issued out of Lyon County in June of this year.
— A 44-year-old Carson City man was arrested Monday, 5:30 p.m. in the 1700 block of North Carson Street on a misdemeanor charge of contempt of court. Bail: $804.
— A 33-year-old Sparks woman was arrested at around 6 a.m. Tuesday morning at Carson and Stewart streets on a failure to appear warrant for traffic court, issued out of Washoe County. Bail: $415.
In other felony related arrests from last week: An 18-year-old Carson City man, Tanner Ogden, was booked into jail August 21 on a felony charge of probation violation. The warrant was issued June 10, 2014 out of the juvenile division of the First Judicial District Court in Carson City.
— Two men face felony charges after allegedly stealing a vehicle and handgun belonging to the mother of one of the suspects. Shylo Anthony Watson was arrested August 22 and faces a felony charge of grand larceny and was being held on $20,000 bail. Drake Anthony Martin, 20, was found to be in possession of the stolen firearm while inside the stolen vehicle. According to the arrest report, Martin was found inside the vehicle, reported stolen by the mother of suspect Shylo Anthony Watson. On him was a handgun, also reported stolen.
Watson was found at a nearby residence and arrested. He told officers he knew he was not supposed to drive the vehicle but did it anyway. Bail for Watson: $25,000. Bail for Martin: $27,500.
— Two were arrested August 22 when a warrant service was made. David Patten, 22, was arrested on a parole and probation hold when the warrant was served at an apartment in the 3300 block of South Carson Street. A 20-year-old Carson City woman, Amerlynn Miller, was arrested on a felony charge of being under the influence of a controlled substance. She told officers she had “shot up meth” earlier in the day and had smoked marijuana prior to officers arriving. Bail for Patten was pending based on the parole and probation violation. Miller’s bail; $2,500.
— A Carson City woman, Stephanie Smokey, was arrested August 23 in the 3800 block of South Carson Street on a felony charge of possession of a controlled substance, and two misdemeanor charges, including possession of drug paraphernalia and on a warrant service. According to the arrest report, a wallet was left at the front desk of a hotel. An employee opened the wallet in an attempt to locate the owner and found a baggie of methamphetamine. Officers found the meth and a glass pipe inside. Officers attempted to locate the woman, who was found in a casino. She identified the wallet was hers and was arrested. Bail: $4,140.
— A 36-year-old Carson City man, Peter Jon Gill, was arrested August 24, 10:05 p.m. in the 2100 block of California Street. He faces a felony charge of assault with a deadly weapon. According to the arrest report, the man was arguing with family and allegedly grabbed a handgun, loaded it with live ammunition and was making statements that made one person feel as though he was going to kill them or himself. Bail: $20,000.
