Nevada leaders launch student prescription drug prevention video contest
This is an opportunity for Nevada students to get creative and use social media to promote awareness about prescription drug abuse and encourage their peers to stay away from abusing prescription drugs.
Winners will be selected from each Nevada school district. Final winners will be announced Nov. 3, 2014. Winners will advance to the state level where first, second and third place winners will be selected in each social media category. First place winners in each category will be recognized at a special event at the Governor’s Mansion.
To participate in the contest, schools and students are asked to produce an original video and upload it to YouTube.
The video must address the dangers of prescription drug abuse and be formatted as follows: Youtube: Maximum length 30 seconds Instagram: Max length 15 seconds Vine: Max length 6.5 seconds.
