Care Flight called after woman, child struck by vehicle at Fifth and Roop streets
UPDATE: Carson City sheriff's officials confirmed an adult woman was flown by Care Flight following this morning's crash at Fifth and Roop Street and a child was taken by ambulance. Their conditions are unknown and their identities were unavailable.

UPDATE: Care Flight has taken one victim to the trauma ward of Renown Regional Medical Center in Reno following a pedestrian accident this morning at Fifth and Roop streets. A second victim was taken by ambulance. Reports to dispatch were that a woman and child were hit by a pickup at the intersection.

Carson City fire and ambulance are responding to Fifth and Roop street after a woman and an 8-year-old child were reportedly hit by a truck. Care Flight was ordered.
Traffic is being diverted around the accident scene. The accident was reported to dispatch shortly after 9:30 a.m. Arriving emergency personnel said the child was found underneath his mother and was bleeding from the mouth.
Initial reports to dispatch were that one of the victims was in a wheelchair.
Care Flight will land near the old Boys and Girls Club facility off of Stewart Street, according to dispatch. One of the victims will be taken by Care Flight and the other by ambulance.
