Carson City man faces felony charge after allegedly choking and throwing bleach on girlfriend

He told authorities that the argument became heated and his girlfriend punched and slapped him in the arms, chest and face and then threw a cup, breaking the living room television, the report stated.
In an interview with the girlfriend, she told authorities that she woke up and took her dog for a walk within the apartment complex, spoke with a neighbor briefly, and when she returned she said Lambert became angry because he thought she had a "crush" on the neighbor, the report stated. The couple got into a verbal argument in the stairwell of the apartment and the woman stated Lambert grabbed her arms and pushed her down a half flight of stairs, according to the report.
At the bottom of the stairs, the girlfriend told officers that Lambert got on top of her and slapped her in the face and chest. She said Lambert then grabbed her by the throat and started to choke her with both of his hands, according to the report.
As she neared the point of becoming unconscious, she said she punched Lambert in the face with her right hand. She said Lambert got off of her, stood up and threw a cup at her which hit the television, breaking it.
She said Lambert then grabbed her by the arms and pushed her with enough force to cause her to fall and hit her head on a dryer. She told authorities that Lambert then grabbed a bottle of bleach and dumped it on her back and hair. She said she ran out of the apartment to call police and that Lambert then proceeded to dump all the contents of her purse onto the living room floor.
The deputy investigating the battery noticed that Lambert had a swollen left eye. The woman had injuries consistent with her accounts of the incident, including marks of two hands choking her neck.
"Due to the totality of the circumstances, I determined Jason to be the primary aggressor and took him into custody," deputy Brett Bindley said in the arrest report.

Jason Jeffery Lambert, 30, was booked into the Carson City jail on $15,000 bond.
