Statewide June gaming revenue climbs, Carson City and Lake Tahoe see slight decrease
Carson City area casinos, which include those in Minden, Gardnerville and all other areas of Douglas County except Stateline, report a 5.5 percent decrease in gaming revenue for June, taking in $7,934,128 compared to June 2013 where gaming profits were $8,396,690.
Nevada’s nonrestricted gaming licensees reported a total “gaming win” of $906,904,294 in June 2014. This amounts to a 14.36 percent increase compared to June 2013, when licensees reported a gaming win of $793,058,748.
For the fiscal year, July 1, 2013 through June 30, 2014, statewide gaming win has increased 2.94 percent.
Casinos at Stateline on the South Shore of Lake Tahoe fell by 2.33 percent, in June, taking in $12,230,394 in June gaming revenue while North Lake Tahoe casinos in Washoe County fell by 15.39 percent. Casinos in Reno, saw a decline of 3.13 percent and in Sparks, 0.69 percent.
North Las Vegas and the Las Vegas Strip had the best gaming revenue figures, with increases of 22.69 percent and 22.45 percent respectively.
Nevada casinos collected $43,567,260 in percentage fees during the month of July 2014*, based upon the taxable revenues generated in June 2014. This represents a 0.51 percent (or $222,766) increase compared to the prior year’s July, when percentage fee collections were $43,344,494, according to figures released Friday through the gaming control board.
