Full containment expected Saturday on Clear Creek fire
Fire officials downsized the Clear Creek fire to 187 acres, with 75 percent now contained and full containment estimated by 5 p.m. Saturday, according to Sierra Front Interagency Dispatch Center.
The fire, on the south side of Highway 50 west, is believed to have started by a lightning strike on Wednesday. Today crews plan to hold the perimeter and complete line construction around the fire.
