Arrests made in connection with weekend robberies
Three adults and one juvenile are in Washoe County Jail on suspicion of armed robbery in connection to a string of incidents that happened in Carson City and Reno over the weekend that left one man dead.
The RGJ reports that brothers Jacob and Luis Sanchez, 21 and 19, Aurora Rodriguez-Perez, 22, and a 13-year-old boy have been arrested on suspicion of armed robbery and conspiracy to commit armed robbery.
They have not been charged in the death of Steve Gale, 26, who was shot in the back while trying to intervene in a robbery attempt on California Avenue in Reno. Detectives continue to investigate while the four are being held in connection to another incident.
The suspects turned themselves into Reno Police after media reports showed security camera photos of them and the vehicle taken at the Carson City Wal-mart.
