Still time to sign up for Caddyshack-themed Golf Fore The Kids Charity Children's Golf Tournament
There's one last chance to sign up for Sunday's Caddyshack-themed Golf Fore The Kids Charity Children's Golf Tournament at Eagle Valley East Golf Course in Carson City.
Hosted by the Carson City Downtown Business Association, the tournament will benefit the Children's Museum of Northern Nevada and the Eagle Valley Children's Home.
There's $10,000 at stake for any one who makes a hole in one courtesy of Dick Campagni's Carson City Toyota Scion and Capital Ford Hyundai.
Come dressed as your favorite character from Caddyshack and win a prize. Need a reminder: there's Danny Noonan, Judge Smails, Spaulding, Al Czervik, Ty Webb, Lacey Underall, Maggie "Tanks for Nuthin!" O'Hooligan, Tony "I ain't payin' no 50 cents for no Coke" D'Annunzio, Lou "you owe me one gumball machine" Loomis, Dr. Beeper, the gopher or greenskeeper Carl Spackler.
Other prizes include closest to the hole, longest drive and longest putt.
The tournament is $300 for a four-player team, and $80 for single entry. There's 8 a.m. pre-tournament games and a 9 a.m. shotgun start. Entry fee includes lunch and after-tournament raffle party. Go here for more information.
