Cute bear cub left at Lake Tahoe Wildlife Care gets happy in new video
Remember this little bear cub brought to the Lake Tahoe Wildlife Care a few days ago? She's since been named "Tahoe" and continues to do well, seeming pretty contented in her surroundings, according to those taking care of her.
Just how relaxed and at ease you ask? In this short video below she's making a purring, chortling noise that is basically her way of saying she's at peace.
"Bear cubs make this sound when then are in a happy state," said Tom Millham, secretary, treasurer of Lake Tahoe Wildlife Care. He filmed the most recent footage of little Tahoe as she chuckled, chortled and sucked on a blanket.
The 10-week old, 5-plus pound bear cub is the newest guest at the South Lake Tahoe facility, which nurses sick and injured wild animals back to health. The cub was dropped off at the front door of the Bear League without a note or any word on where the bear came from or where her mother may be.
The cub is just learning to walk, but according to LTWC, she doesn't quite have the hang of it. They say her overall condition is good and she is eating pretty well, even with being so young.
