Two charged in connection with computer thefts from Carson City Wal-Mart

Two Sacramento men face felony burglary charges after they allegedly stole computers earlier this month from Wal-Mart in Carson City, and then returned to the store on Sunday.
Four men were detained after deputies were shown surveillance photos by a Wal-Mart security officer who explained the theft to officers of the computers, valued at $2,694.
According to the arrest report, deputies observed the suspect vehicle in a parking lot near 3200 Market Street on Sunday at about 11:40 p.m. An officer made contact with three of the occupants, and a subject that was walking away from the vehicle. Another man had walked inside a nearby Jack-in-The-Box and was later brought out by a deputy. There were also two other subjects who left on foot before they could be contacted by deputies, according to the report.
A Wal-Mart loss prevention officer arrived at the scene and displayed several surveillance photos of all of the subjects involved in the burglary that happened earlier in the month in which three computers were stolen.
The security officer positively identified all four subjects as being involved in the burglary but advised that one of the suspects was the only one of the four who had actually taken merchandise out of the store. The Wal-Mart security officer told deputies that there had been two other subjects who had taken merchandise from the store, that they were with the group of four detained, and that they had left on foot from the scene because they were not detained.
The Wal-Mart officer signed a citizen's arrest for one of the suspects, a 43 year-old Sacramento man.
A Carson City deputy was advised that the three remaining subjects in the Ford Excursion seen in the surveillance photos were in the 3700 block of North Carson Street.
Two of the subjects matched the description of the two that had fled on foot from the original scene at Wal-Mart, according to the arrest report.
An officer made contact with the two subjects who were gambling on the slot machines inside the store. The subjects came outside and advised the officer they were 17 and 18 years old. The Wal-Mart security officer positively identified one of these suspects, the 18 year-old as being the other subject from the burglary who had actually taken one of the computers.
The security officer signed a citizen's arrest form. The 17-year-old was arrested and charged with gambling as a minor.
The two arrested men have been charged with felony burglary. Bail for each has been set for $25,000.
