Cellist Stephen Framil to hold April 25 Masterclass for cellists
Cellist Stephen Framil, visiting from Philadelphia to perform with the Carson City Symphony, will hold a Masterclass for Cellists on Thursday, April 25, 3:00-4:30 p.m., in the Band Room at Carson High School, 1111 N. Saliman Road in Carson City.
At the class, five selected cellists will participate, and observers are welcome. The class, sponsored by the Carson City Symphony Association, is open to the public. Admission is free.
Dr. Stephen Framil has performed and given masterclasses in cello and chamber music around the world. He was guest soloist with Carson City Symphony in 2004 and 2006. While in Carson City, Dr. Framil also will play a house recital on April 26 and be featured soloist on the Carson City Symphony concert, "A Celebration in Two Sharps," on April 28 at the Carson City Community Center.
