Carson City authorities search for man with surgical mask who slashed tires in Smith's parking lot
UPDATE: Carson City sheriff's deputies were looking for a man wearing a surgical mask who walked through the Smith's grocery parking lot early Tuesday evening and slashed the tires of a vehicle.
Dispatch received the call at 5:48 p.m. of a white man with brown hair wearing a surgical mask and a creamed colored jacket walk through the parking lot of the Smith's on William Street, slashing tires. He then fled in the direction of the Carson City Community Center and library. One vehicle had its tires slashed, said Carson City Sheriff's Office Sgt. Earl Mays.
Responding officers searched for the man in the area of the library, the pool area and the community center. As of 8 p.m. the man was still at large, said Earl Mays.
