The snow continued to fall Wednesday at Lake Tahoe and on Northstar and is forecast to continue through the weekend. Here's a couple of upcoming events, as well as a few new offerings at Northstar-at-Tahoe Resort through the end of this winter season:

Spring It On - April 2
Join in for Northstar's annual Spring It On! event taking place Saturday, April 2 offering something for everyone. This year put on your best '80s-style ski gear and get ready to show off your best back scratchers all over the mountain on Northstar’s Retro Ski Day.

Meanwhile, mid-mountain of Northstar-at-Tahoe is the place to be with our Pond Skim from 11:30 a.m.-2:00 p.m. Our Terrain Park staff will be hosting a fun competition (more details to follow). Both will be free to participate in, but everyone interested for the Pond Skim must register from 8:30 to11 a.m. on the Gondola Deck the morning of April 2. All participants must sign a waiver, and be assigned a number.

Later that evening, a movie is on tap at Olivier Napa Valley in the Village at Northstar with the premiere of "SUP Lake Tahoe Circumnavigation" at 8:30 p.m.

In June 2010 Lake Tahoe Waterman/Apex Bungy owners Anik and Jay Wild circumnavigated Lake Tahoe on Stand Up Paddle Boards - 72.5 miles in 22.5 hours. The movie premiere is a fundraiser for The High Fives foundation, a local nonprofit that raises money to help rehabilitate injured athletes, www.highfivesfoundation.org. Come watch this video put together by the crew from My Local Lineup and join in on the raffle. There will be raffle prizes from Hobie, Tahoe SUP and more. Check out the trailer to the video here.

Sierra Nevada Brewery Pairing Dinner at TC’s Pub - April 15
Join in for a night of delicious and unique food and beer pairings. On Friday April 15th, at 6 pm, Northstar-at-Tahoe’s TC’s Pub and Sierra Nevada Brewery will join forces to create a mouth-watering four-course meal paired with some classic and seasonal ales from the Chico based brewery.

The menu, prepared by Northstar Resort’s Executive Banquet Chef, will be comprised of fresh, seasonal ingredients to excite and delight all while partnering with a variety of Sierra Nevada Brewery beers to enhance the flavors. In addition to the food and beer there will be prizes and giveaways throughout the night.

This event is for ages 21 plus and tickets are $55/person in advance which include gratuity. If space is available, tickets will be for sale the evening of the event at the door for $65/person. However, sign-up now – there is limited seating and you don’t want to miss it!

Ski With A Patroller
Advanced skiers and riders ages 13 plus interested in experiencing Northstar-at-Tahoe Resort's side country terrain including Sawtooth Ridge and White Rabbit are invited to ski with a patroler Saturdays and Sundays (weather permitting) through the end of the season. Tours meet at the summit at 10 and are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Start Park
Intermediate and above skiers and riders ages 13 plus interested in learning how to approach terrain park features are invited to check out Northstar-at-Tahoe Resort's new "Start Park" at the bottom of the Vista Express lift. The Start Park is offered from 11 to 1p.m. Monday through Friday through the end of the season on a first-come, first-served basis.

Complimentary Freestyle Coaching Sessions
Designed for intermediate and above skiers and riders ages 13 plus who want an intro to freestyle riding, new freestyle coaching sessions will be offered Monday through Friday through the end of the season at 1:30 p.m. by instructors from the Burton Snowboard Academy. Sessions will meet at the bottom of the Vista Express lift and are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
