Fire damages mobile home Friday night in East Carson City
Friday at 11:37 p.m. the Carson City Fire Department responded to a reported structure fire in the 7200 block of U.S. Highway 50 East.
When firefighters arrived, they were faced with a double wide residential trailer that was fully engulfed with flames. There were no civilian or firefighter injuries.
The fire was declared under control at 12:05 a.m. Saturday morning. Crews remained on scene overhauling the fire until 2:30 a.m.
Carson City Battalion Chief Tom Raw reported crews battling the blaze saved an estimated $10,000 in surrounding properties and damages are estimated at $3,000.
The cause is under investigation.
The Carson City Fire Department received two mutual aid engines and one ambulance from the East Fork Fire Protection District in Douglas County, one ambulance from Central Lyon Fire Protection District, and two water tenders from the Carson City Public Works Department.
