“I am happy to see vegan menu options in Carson City. I have been discussing the benefits of a Vegetarian diet with my Dad for years and I've convinced him to take the Vegan Challenge,” said Gianna M. Shirk a Realtor with TransAction Realty 500. “I look forward to my Dad and I sharing 3 days of Vegan food from Foodies Vegan Challenge because although I eat almost a total Vegetarian diet and my Dad has absolutely never tried anything like this before, I am excited to see how we both adapt to Vegan for every meal (and dessert, which I wasn't expecting.)”
Rupal Martinez was interviewed by locally produced television show “Woman to Woman”, the episode dated February 13, 2014 and can be viewed here. The interview touches on the diversity of Foodies Bystro, vegan cuisine and vegan cooking classes.
Foodies began the Vegan Cuisine Challenge on their Facebook page. There was an overwhelming response
for participants and Foodies selected 10 Carson City residents to participate in the first challenge.
Confectionary Chef Rebecca Bevans owner of Carson City Confections will create the vegan desserts for Foodies Bystro’s Vegan Cuisine Challenge.
