Greater Nevada Credit Union accepting scholarship applications
Greater Nevada Credit Union is accepting applications for its annual academic scholarship program, which has awarded over $180,000 in scholarships since 2000. This year, Greater Nevada will award 15 scholarships for $1,000 each.
Scholarships are competitively awarded based on the applicant's financial needs, academic performance, community involvement, educational and career goals. Applications are available at northern Nevada high schools and colleges, any Greater Nevada branch, or at gncu.org.
The scholarship program is sponsored and administered by Greater Nevada and is available to their members and families. Anyone living or working in northern Nevada is eligible to join Greater Nevada. Completed applications must be received by no later than 5:00 p.m. PST, March 28, 2014.
Greater Nevada, headquartered in Carson City, is a not-for-profit financial cooperative that has been serving northern Nevada consumers since 1949.
