Sierra Nevada Corporation announces new aircraft completions subsidiary

Sierra Nevada Corporation based in Sparks, Nev., announced Wednesday the debut of Sierra Completions, its newest subsidiary. Sierra Completions is a high-end aircraft completions company that focuses on state-of-the-art design and completion of dual- and single-aisle widebody aircraft built with composite airframe.

At NBAA2014 - Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition in Orlando, Florida, Sierra Completions met with Tier 1 companies in the aviation industry to advance negotiations with its strategic partners and key customers. The company is expected to receive its first commercial aircraft for design and completion in 2015.

Regarding its newest subsidiary, SNC President Eren Ozmen said, “SNC has a great history and depth of experience in aircraft design, modification, integration and modernization. The emergence of the next generation composite aircraft will provide an excellent opportunity for Sierra Completions to demonstrate its extensive capabilities and will complement SNC’s existing aviation offerings. Sierra Completions’ state-of-the-art completion center includes a design and engineering facility and hangers to accommodate the largest aircraft in operation. The center will be housed within a world premier aerospace park. Further announcements on the complex will be made in the coming months.
