Obituary: Lawrence William Paul
Larry W. Paul, Sept. 21, 2014, born Jan. 9, 1954, in Havre, Montana, to Levi and Elizabeth Paul.
Larry is preceded in death by his father Levi, brothers Doug and Steve, and sister Teresa. He leaves behind his wife of 31 years, Clare; son, Ian; daughter, Marie; Mother ,Elizabeth and sister, Deborah Privett.
Larry grew up in Carson City, Nevada. His career started as a cadet with the Carson City Sheriff's Department. He received his degree in criminal justice from the University of Nevada, Reno. He
worked as a back-country ranger in Lake Tahoe, Nevada; Nevada Division of Investigations and Narcotics
in 1976; and was hired by the Douglas County Sheriff's Department in Gardnerville, Nevada in 1980. He retired in 2003 as a sheriff's sergeant.
In 2006 Larry began a new career as a Lutheran pastor. He attended Concordia Lutheran Seminary from '03 to '06. Ordained Pastor of Saving Grace Lutheran Church in Chino Valley, Arizona since 2007. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held in his honor at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Carson City, Wednesday, October 8th at 6:15pm.
