Four-year-old wins Visit Carson City's 'Beat the Heat' summer photo contest
Carson City was recently named as the fastest warming city in the United States. To remind the world that we do not live in a dry, barren, hot wasteland, the Carson City Visitors Bureau hosted a “Beat The Heat” photo contest on Facebook.
The contest ran throughout the months of July and August where visitors submitted their "Beat the Heat" photo through its Facebook page and votes were cast with "likes" on pictures.
Visit Carson City announced the winner of the "Beat the Heat" photo contest as Everett Hogan, 4, with his photo at the Carson City Waterfalls up in Kings Canyon. He is the son of Ashley and Kelly Hogan from Carson City.
His grand prizes that he will share with his parents include a fully hosted Nevada Day weekend experience in Carson City: room nights for Friday and Saturday in Carson City, dinner for (2) on Friday and Saturday night, free tickets to Nevada Day special events, a place of honor on the Visit Carson City Nevada Day Parade Float, and regional and national recognition as the winning photo.
There's a new Visit Carson City photo contest that involves your Harley and some great prizes. Go here to learn more.
